"The Lavery Ladies, LLC" is a Pittsburgh-native mother and two daughter team that are passionate about animals, veterinary medicine, and baking.  Linda Lavery became a licensed veterinary technician and inspired her daughter, Sarah, to achieve her dream goal of becoming a veterinarian.  Her sister, Amanda, a pathologist's assistant, has always loved making cakes, cookies and incredible cocktails. Most of this trio's time together is spent in the kitchen, creating and enjoying FOOD.

Within the kitchen, lined along their shins and feet, their many pets, ranging from guinea pigs to dogs, made sure that the floor remained clean during their creative cooking endeavors.

As their pets aged, different medical conditions developed that required a change as to what their pets could and could not eat.  Their knowledge of animal nutrition, veterinary medicine, and baking inspired the idea for The Pet Bakery of Oakmont.

Dr. Sarah K. Lavery has been a general and emergency veterinarian since graduating from Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007.  She currently practices in the Pittsburgh area.  After a debilitating car accident, Dr. Lavery created The Pet Bakery of Oakmont to rehabilitate her hand/eye coordination.  The Bakery gave her hope in a time when she needed it the most.  Now able to practice veterinary medicine again, The Pet Bakery of Oakmont lives on!

The Lavery Ladies have volunteered for numerous nonprofit organizations in both Michigan and Pennsylvania.

We contribute to local shelters, rescue groups, trap-neuter-release programs, underprivileged veterinary care funds, conservation and wildlife efforts.

We care deeply about our environment and take every attempt to lessen our Carbon footprint, as individuals and as a company.  We will employ recycled materials for our packaging and promotional material whenever possible.  We will reduce our energy and water usage, provide local delivery via hybrid vehicles (whenever possible), purchase our ingredients locally, compost our organic waste, recycle our inorganic waste whenever applicable, and occasionally hug a tree!

Please help us by kindly recycling and/or reusing all packaging.

Our packaging is 100% recycled and recyclable.

All product bags are biodegradable and compostable!

Dr. Lavery is VERY strict as to what she allows in her products.  No artificial colors, flavorings or preservatives are allowed!  Only the safest ingredients!  She always recommends mixing some of your pet's kibble with any of our baked goods to avoid stomach upset with abrupt diet change.
